# Network sourcing & consent

> How residential and mobile devices participate in the SOAX network and how to report consent concerns.

Residential and mobile proxies route traffic through participating devices and their internet connections.

## What we require

Participation must be voluntary and based on informed consent. People must understand that their device and internet connection will carry web traffic for others. They must be able to stop their device from participating at any time.

Partners must follow our distribution requirements, explain how sharing works, and provide working consent and opt-out controls. Unauthorized installation, compromised devices, and participation without informed consent are not allowed.

We may ask partners for evidence that their integrations meet these requirements.

## Handling concerns

We investigate credible concerns about participation without consent, unauthorized distribution, or compromised devices or integrations. We may suspend affected connections or integrations while we review an issue, and limit or end participation if our requirements are not met.

If you think your device is sharing your connection without your consent, or you cannot turn sharing off, [report the concern](https://forms.soax.com/report-abuse) or email [support@soax.com](mailto:support@soax.com). Tell us what you noticed and when, and name the app or service if you know it. Do not send credentials or unrelated personal information.
